Our final podcast episode of 2019 looks at the decade in review. For better or for worse, the second decade of the 21st century was packed with history-making events and actors.
In America this decade held the Tea Party and the Occupy Movement, President Obama and President Trump, the end of the worst recession since the Great Depression and the longest bull market in American history.
In this decade we had gay marriage legalized, transgenderism mainstreamed, opioids out of control, and a suicide epidemic. Globally we saw Brexit and Arab Spring, ISIS and Boko Haram, Fukushima, and earthquakes in Haiti. It was a decade when we learned about identity politics, saw civil war in Syria and continued the longest war in American history in Afghanistan.
JB Shreve is joined by the panel Jonathan Webster, Ben Lagrone, and Dr. Malachi Nichols for this decade in review episode. We look back on what we believe were the defining moments and events of the decade. What will the second decade of the 21st century be remembered for?
