Water Crisis

The world is in the opening phases of a global water crisis. As I contend in my book How the World Ends, climate change is part of the global water crisis story, but it is not the whole story. This is a manmade crisis that could be fixed. More than 70% of the earth is covered with water. The driving issue of the global water crisis is not supply. The issue is distribution. In many parts of the world, the waters are rising and cities are sinking. In other parts of the world, alarms are sounding as wells and critical water infrastructure runs dry. A cooperative global order could solve this problem but leadership, real leadership and not political grandstanding, is necessary. This collection of articles tracks the development of this crisis. It is not happening in a vacuum. Water crises trigger refugees, political crises, and more.
